Program Supervisor, Children Group Home, Antioch, CA

The Core Program Supervisor for Harmony House Receiving Center is responsible for the oversight of direct care staff and the provision of quality care and supervision in a twenty-four hour, 7 day a week, year round youth transitional care facility. The CPS is responsible for upholding and supervising to the Agency’s operational, financial, personnel and practice rules, policies and procedures. 

  • Coordination of services for children and youth per program guidelines

  • Provide day to day direction and supervision of direct care staff

  • Uphold and supervise to the Agency, funder and Community Care Licensing policies, procedures and regulations

  • Assist with the recruitment and, onboarding and orienting of direct care staff.

  • Provide support and intervention to direct reports

  • Train direct reports on Agency, regulatory and funder requirements and monitor compliance by staff and partners.

  • Monitor the quality and timely submission of required documentation.

  • Accurately report incidents, grievances, complaints, issues and concerns in a timely manner

  • Conduct and prepare necessary documentation for all incidents, grievances, complaints.

  • Provide back-up on-call support.

  • Provide direct service support as needed.

  • Participate in and conduct program related trainings, supervisions and meetings as required.

  • Abide by the Agency’s Professional Code of Ethics. 

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff, clients, partners and other constituencies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by and in support of the CPD, CPM.

Do You Qualify?

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, child development, or a related field

  • Experience working with at-risk youth

  • Residential program experience preferred

  • Supervisory or management experience preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience working with youth in a similar service. 

  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record, proof of auto insurance.

Youth Care Worker in Antioch, CA

$500 Sign-on Bonus for Qualified Candidates

The Youth Care Worker is responsible for the care and supervision of youth during their stay at the Receiving/Assessment Center. Major responsibilities include providing  supervision of youth, supporting children in meeting  service plan goals, supporting youth in participating in assessments, implementing safety plans, managing medication  administration, completing documentation, transporting youth, preparing meals, managing youth’s personal property inventory and maintaining the center in compliance with licensing, the Joint Commission and agency standards.

  • Supervise youth, including the youth’s readiness for assessments, recreational activities, etc. 

  • Work in coordination with Center team members to implement youth’s service plan.

  • Identify possible youth needs for additional professional services and communicate such findings in the shift exchange.

  • Document youth behaviors and incidents.

  • Complete youth intake and discharge, including screenings.

  • Administer prescribed medication per standards. 

  • Document administration of prescribed medication according to agency and licensing standards in a timely manner.

  • Assist center youth with personal and hygiene care according to their developmental age.

  • Report in a timely manner any concerns regarding the physical plant.

  • Maintain site to agency, funder, licensing standards.

  • Complete shift tasks related to site compliance.

  • Perform shift responsibilities as indicated in the Communication Log

  • or utilize the shift exchange to inform other staff of  youth issues.

  • Provide transportation to youth.

  • Prepare meals and snacks provided to youth.

  • Attend required meetings and trainings.
