Benefits
Aspiranet offers a wide range of choices to meet the diverse needs of our employees. Medical plans include HMOs and PPOs from first-rate health care providers with prescription benefits and tiered plans that give employees a range of expense options. Our offerings are designed to help employees meet their personal, family, and financial needs, and are outlined below.
Aspiranet’s competitive, comprehensive benefits program is available to all full-time employees (35 – 40 hours per week) and their dependents, with a portion of the costs absorbed by the Agency. Health benefits start 90 days from the first day of the month following hire date.
Medical Plans
Employees may choose medical benefits from Kaiser Permanente or Anthem Blue Cross HMO, HIA, or PPO, including low co-pays for doctor visits and prescription drugs. Offering four medical plans with varying rates provides employees more choice in calculating out-of-pocket premiums and medical expenses.
Dental Plan
Dental insurance coverage is provided at no cost to the employee by Assurant. Employees have the choice of either a Dental DHMO (in-network providers) or Dental PPO which offers additional dental providers for a small, monthly out-of-pocket premium.
Vision
Vision coverage is a supplemental voluntary benefit provided by Blue Cross Blue View. We offer two vision plans: a materials-only plan and a materials plus eye exam plan. Both plans allow employees to purchase cost-reimbursed lenses or contacts once a year and frames every 2 years at a participating vision materials provider.
Retirement Plan
All employees who regularly work over 1000 hours per year are automatically enrolled in the Agency-sponsored retirement plan (401a profit sharing plan) through Principal on the first day of the month in January or July, following 1 year of service. Employees are vested 20% each year after hire and are fully vested on their 5th year of service. Contributions are made by the Agency when annual surpluses are realized. Additionally, employees may invest, and are vested immediately, with pre-tax salary deductions, into a 403 b offered by Valic AIG
Vacation/Sick Leave/Holidays
Employees accrue 10 vacation days per year, 10 sick days per year, and 10 holidays per year (prorated for part time employees) which may be used immediately upon hire. After 3 years, employees accrue 15 days of vacation, after 4 years, employees accrue 20 days, and after 9 years, employees accrue 25 days of vacation. Some programs offer a paid employee’s birthday holiday which must be taken within 30 days of the event.
