Help a Teen Become a Hero, not a Statistic
Multi-Dimensional Foster Care Treatment (MTFC) is different from standard foster parenting in that it is shorter term, and provides support for families willing to offer their homes to teens with special needs. They may have a history of behavior problems such as law violations, school failure, aggression, drug or alcohol use, poor peer relations, poor coping and social skills, low self esteem, or foster care placements that did not work out.
This six-to-nine-month program helps teens decrease negative behaviors and discover newfound success at home, in school, and in their communities. MTFC uses a unique teamwork approach with the goal of reuniting teens with their families within a short period of time. Through this program, a caring team assists these teens develop positive social behaviors, life skills, and higher self-esteem so that they can better adjust to his family, community, and peers.
How it Works
