The Center focuses on educating parents in positive discipline practices, social, emotional and physical needs of young children, and improving their confidence as parents. Pre-natal and postpartum parent education and support groups help parents to identify whether their children should be assessed for developmental, emotional or behavioral problems, a disability or other special needs.
The center’s Community Resource Specialist partners with community service providers to help families receive food, clothing, housing, etc. The Community Resource Specialist also works to help families engage with one another.
Community Advisory Council
The Center’s Community Advisory Council, comprised of community members and volunteers, works with the Center’s staff to better understand the needs of families with young children.
The Center provides a toy swap, clothing drives, and other holiday events. Volunteers are always welcome, as are donations of books and craft materials. Please contact the Center to learn more about volunteer and donation opportunities.
