Aspiranet - Raising Hope, Empowering Community.

Hand to Hand Collaborative

An Extra Pair of Hands Makes all the Difference

The Hand to Hand Collaborative provides home visitation and center-based services to high-need Asian and African-American families who may be reluctant to participate in community programs. The program is designed to strengthen attachment between parents and children, increase parent bonding, reduce isolation, and empower families to use community resources. Statistics show that children under the age of one have the highest number of substantiated child maltreatment allegations in Contra Cost County, and that number is growing. We believe that as their children’s first teachers, parents of newborns deserve extra support to help care for and nurture each new family member.

Volunteers and Donations Needed

In this time of economic instability, our most isolated families are suffering the most. We need of volunteers to help promote the program to the community and to help solicit monetary and in-kind donations of baby-care supplies. Items needed include diapers, diaper wipes, infant formula, and unused infant car seats, strollers, bassinettes, high chairs, receiving blankets, breastfeeding blankets, newborn to 12-month onsies, caps and infant socks, grooming supplies, baby bath tubs, baby shampoo and soaps, towels and diaper bags, and baby books.

The Hand To Hand Collaborative is the only Home Visitation program serving the difficult to engage residents of West County and has provided home visitation services since 2008. If you can help, please contact us today.
