National Autism Awareness Month at Aspiranet

Did you know the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now calls autism a national public health crisis whose cause and cure remain unknown?

Throughout April, National Autism Awareness Month, Aspiranet’s Family Focused Support Network for Autism and Developmental Disabilities hopes to educate the public about this growing health epidemic and to arm impacted families with strategies they can use to help maintain happy, stable households.

To learn more about Autism, please visit our National Autism Awareness page.

As part of our awareness activities, Aspiranet will host a free public webinar titled “Decoding Autism” Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Click here to register.

Sheri Reynolds, autism expert and Director of Aspiranet’s Family Focused Support Network for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, will help webinar participants recognize the signs and symptoms of autism and learn treatment strategies. This webinar will also discuss the emergence of the iPad and its role as one component of a comprehensive treatment plan.
