Aspiranet and Starbucks collect 3,500 gifts for Children in Foster Care
Aspiranet partnered with 168 Starbucks locations in Bakersfield, Visalia, Antioch, Merced, San Bernadino, Riverside, Fresno and Orange for its 3rd annual Holiday Toy Drive. In 2010, we collected 3,500 gifts for California children in foster care.
Customers visiting participating Starbucks stores were invited to obtain wish ornaments containing the holiday gift requests of children placed with Aspiranet foster families. Those requests ranged from sports equipment to musical instruments, but always represented something that many children take for granted: a special gift to call their own during the holidays.
“Thanks to the support of Starbucks customers and Aspiranet supporters, we are happy that 3,500 children experienced the joy of receiving a special gift purchased specifically for them during the 2010 holiday season,” Aspiranet Communications Director Stacey Fehr said.
