Aspiranet’s Family Focused Support Network for Autism and Developmental Disabilities is actively involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and support of families and individuals challenged by autism and is engaging in awareness activities throughout California during the month of April.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect. Prevention is the best hope for reducing child abuse and neglect and improving the lives of children and families. Preventing child abuse and strengthening families requires a shared commitment from individuals and organizations in every community.
The Lisa Project is an interactive multi-media exhibit allowing visitors to experience the life of an abused or neglected child. The purpose of The Lisa Project is to bring awareness to the Kern County community with the hope to inspire and educate its citizens to report abuse to protect children and strengthen families.
